Learn how American fountain pen manufacturers managed to sell fountain pens to Americans during a major depression.
See the many innovative designs, materials, nibs, and advertising used to convince Americans and people around the world to part with their hard earned money.
See the various materials and colors used in pen production, nibs for each writing style, the variety of novel filling mechanisms, presentation boxes, inks, and advertising that made you feel like “I want one of those". This slide presentation will cover fountain pens from the 1890s to 1950 and include the Golden Age of Fountain Pens. It will present you with a major overview of fountain pen collecting and help you focus on the wide selection of fountain pens and pen-related items available to you at the Pen Show this weekend.
